This is a posting to the Wiki site to see what happens.

I've got one of the original 4.3's and will have to replace my tramp this coming winter as it is quickly deteriorating beneath my feet. So far port side is patched at the hiking strap site. Now starboard will need to be done. Goes to show you how important it was to cover the tramp from UV rays, even if it's not all year. Summer did the damage.

I've resewn my original spinnaker bag so it's less baggy and shortened it at the post end which has helped. But raising the pole height and turning it upside down so it cups upward also helps with smooth retrieval. And as Mike previously noted, always take it down on starboard side.

This summer I have been much more confident when trapping out. We get chop at Carlyle Lake in Illinois and that really helps with keeping the power up and not getting stalled by waves.

Anyway, if anyone reads this and wants more info on how Marc repaired the bridle bolts with heliocoils, let me know.
